We now have a newsletter!

We now have a newsletter that we’ll be sending out twice a month: once right after a General Membership Meeting (to recap major decisions/action items, approved minutes, and committee reports) and a second time ahead of the next General Membership Meeting, to share draft minutes from the previous meeting and agenda for future one.

May General Membership Meeting Reminder

A reminder that the May General Membership meeting is tomorrow, Tuesday, May 22. We have translated our flyers for the meeting in Spanish, Vietnamese, and Russian in an effort to reach more people. Will you help us spread the word about the meeting by sharing any or all of these with folks who might benefit from joining us tomorrow? And let them know that we have childcare and interpretation available upon request, as part of our effort to make our meetings more inclusive and eliminate barriers to engagement.

General Membership Meeting: May 22, 2018

AGENDA: LNA May 2018 General Meeting Agenda

COMMITTEE REPORTS: Committee Reports May 2018

The LNA General Membership will meet on Tuesday, May 22, 2018, at 7 PM, at the Lents Community Center located at 8835 SE Woodstock Street. There will be a Community Appreciation Dinner right before the meeting, same location, starting at 6:30 PM. Everyone in the community is welcome to attend.

This month’s discussion topic is State of Housing in Lents. We will be joined by Cupid Alexander (Senior Policy Advisor to Mayor Ted Wheeler), Jamey Duhamel (Commissioner Chloe Eudaly’s Policy Director), and Cameron Herrington (Anti-Displacement PDX) to discuss housing affordability, the new State of Housing Report, tenant protections, and unit preservation/rental rehabilitation. Bring your questions!

We will gladly provide childcare or interpretation if it makes it easier for you to attend. Contact Sabina Urdes at Sabina.lents.na@gmail.com to make arrangements for either.
