LNA Folks,
The LNA Nominations and Elections Committee, which currently is composed of volunteers Joanne L. and Mary O. and Interim LNA Board Chairperson Don Johnson, LNA Interim Board Treasurer Topher Walke and Interim Board Secretary Thomas Newcomer, is calling for a Special Election to be held during a General Membership Zoom Meeting on Tuesday, March 22, 2022. There will also be a drop-in elections outdoors that same day, tentatively to be located at the Lents Seventh-Day Adventist Church Activity Center. The LNA Nominations and Elections Committee welcomes additional volunteers
All Board seats will be up for a vote. The election will be a ‘Ranked Choice’ election. This means the person winning the most votes is offered their choice of positions, then the candidate with the 2nd most, and down the line until all positions are filled.
Timeline
Candidate Recruitment Period ( see “Are You Interested” )
From now to February 21st, folks registering their interest to run for board positions during this period will be listed by name on the ballot.
From February 22nd to February 28th, folks registering their interest to run for board positions during this period will be allowed as Write-Ins.
Candidate Forum Zoom Meetings
March 1st, March 8th and March 15th at 7pm. Online. We may add other dates depending on how many candidates we recruit.
Election Day
March 22nd, Special Election and General Membership Meeting. Online Voting results will be announced at the end of the meeting. Physical Ballots from the outdoor drop-in effort will be counted and those totals will be folded into the results.The final tally will be announced on March 25th.
